What’s Your Vision for Your Business?

What’s Your Vision for Your Business?

What is your business vision? - Compass Business Coaching

What I find surprising, is that business owners will have a detailed plan for their daily to-do list but do not have a vision for how they want their company and their life to turn out. The secret to extremely successful people is that they identify their goals for their life first, and do not have a “Plan B” to fall back on so they are completely committed. If you were 90 years old and you just lived your ideal life, what does it look like? As the late Dr. Stephen Covey identified in his research, “highly effective people always begin with the end in mind”.

  • What specifically do you want your life to look like?
  • What type of lifestyle do you want?
  • Do you want your business to provide passive income for you or do you want to sell it for a big payout?

Once you identify what you really want in life, then look at your business and create a plan that will allow your business to provide for your ideal life. Too many times business owners take whatever the business gives instead of creating the business that will allow them to achieve all of their goals. When you create a clear vision and focus on achieving your goals you will achieve them faster than by any other strategy. Do you believe Michael Jordan’s or Kobe Bryant’s goal was to play professional basketball? They did not settle for anything less than the pursuit of greatness because that was the goal they set as children. Why should you settle for anything less than your ideal life? What specific goals would have to achieve to live your ideal life?
